Leadership Team
From left to right, Doug Cunningham is an ordained United Methodist minister. Sheila Beckford is a liturgical dancer and choreographer and a recent graduate of Drew Theological School. Lisa Cunningham teaches global history and spoken word at a Bronx public school. Jorge Lockward heads the Global Praise program of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church (http://www.globalpraise.org). He travels the world learning, playing and teaching the music of many cultures.
We are a part of the United Methodist Church which has nearly 8 million members worldwide. We are in the New York Annual Conference, comprised of some 500 churches in the southern part of New York State and parts of Connecticut. Our bishop is Jeremiah J. Park. We are part of the Metropolitan District which includes Staten Island, Manhattan, the Bronx and parts of Westchester County and Rev. Noel Chin is our District Superintendent.
